The 2008-2012 National Transparency, Accountability and Fight against Corruption Program is a special program binding the Federal Public Administration; its purpose is to create a social culture of accountability, fight against corruption and attachment to legality by transforming the processes followed by the Federal Government and the redefinition of the relationship between the government and the public. In order to meet the above goals, the Internal Control Ministry, through its Inter-Ministerial Commission for Transparency and Fight against Corruption of the Federal Public Administration will be in charge of coordinating and monitoring the actions carried out by the different public agencies of the Federal Public Administration and the General Attorney’s Office, strictly adhered to the targets set out in the 2007-2012 National Development Plan. The following are the six strategic goals established by the above mentioned Program, designed in alignment with the institutional axes of the 2007-2012 National Development Plan:
